About my sports
With an active father who sent me to lessons for the martial art Pencak Silat five times a week, sports have always been an important part of my daily life. As I enjoyed working out a lot, I started teaching sports in 2002 at gyms such as David Lloyd and Splash. I taught classes in gyms in Amsterdam and Haarlem, as well as in hotels when I was working abroad in Spain and Greece. I made the tough decision to stop teaching sports in 2014 in order to focus on digital marketing, but the drive to compete athletically and maintain a healthy lifestyle is still there and currently expressing itself in doing Ironmans.

I always like to challenge myself to set a new personal best. When I stepped into the world of Ironmans, I realized this was another league. I was amazed by the performances of the top athletes who are able to keep up their speed and stamina throughout the many hours of the race, and this inspires me to push myself even further. See below for an article I was mentioned in.
